Ski Weekend

Image
Went to Keystone last week!! So attempting to ski 5 months post partum with my 3rd kid in 4 years was ROUGH! 🤣 I have never felt so out of shape in my life! I mean the quad, calf and foot burn was legit!! Let me start by saying I am just an average skiier, I can cruise on greens and usually stick to mostly blues. Don't ever talk to me about doing a black! 😬 So this trip I could not even handle blues! 😫 It was so sad! I definitely had sore muscles and did not ski all day both days. Didn't help I am nursing my 5 month old and had to either quit early or go pump at lunch! Thanks to my mother in law for staying at the condo and watch all 3 of our kiddos while we skied!  I am super determined to be in MUCH MUCH better shape next year! Also turned 40 right before the trip so I was feeling OLD!  But it was actually my husband (3 years younger than me!) Who takes the cake this trip! He fell halfway through the second day and fractured his ulna!...

On the road to recovery postpartum!

Ok - now that we have had baby number 3 I will be trying out some cellulite cream! Yea so baby 1 and baby 2 recovery not so bad .. . . . . . . .baby 3. . . . .ouch! Going to need all the help I can to get my pre baby body back this time. I tried this cream LIPOFIX - Body Lift Cellulite Cream to try and help get my confidence back in at least my legs since my mid section is a lost cause at this point. I wasn't perfectly cellulite free before baby but man it is by far the worst its been so far now! Little man just turned 4 months old! I am using quite a bit each time I put it on, twice a day for the past 4 days. It smells very nice and is very moisturizing but in just a few days I am not convinced it is really working all that much. Here is my terrifying before picture . . . . I have also been working out, eating healthier and drinking a ton of water hoping that the combination of all of these things will work together to give me some noticeable results! I think I may have to ke...

The Year of WTF

Image
2020 is the most challenging and bizarre year of my life so far. I started off attempting to get pregnant in January. Sounds easy enough right, lol well no. My husband works 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off and my ovulation date always landed halfway through his 2 weeks on! He works in another state! So January 18th off on a road trip I went! Got there at the end of his day, nice dinner and drinks, baby making, he gets up and heads back to work and I get up and drive back home! It was a 6 hour drive! I have to say though, it was like a mini vacation because we have a 2 year old and a 3 year old so I got a babysitter and some "me time". I thought well, if it doesn't work at least it was a nice date night! Have to throw in here now that due to his work schedule and when he is home we have a ton of home renovations we are working on and 2 small kids I have not had a legit pedicure in FOREVER! I had no idea what this year was in store for! So come February I start taking pregn...

2020 Goals

Image
Ok, ok, I am not going to call it "New Years Resolution" per se . . . . . lol but um yea. Number 1 - DRINK MORE WATER! Seriously, I used to be super good about this before I had kids and even through my first pregnancy. Granted I was teaching Pilates full time so that is a ton of talking which basically requires drinking tons of water. Sometimes it works for me to just have a straw but lately that doesn't seem to help as much as before. So I find this 2.2 Liter water bottle! I LOVE it! Apparently I am into pink lately hahaha. Easy to chug from spout and easy grip handle are just making this too easy for me! So I am going to put this goal into the "winning" category! Yay! Number 2 - Take a break from dairy. So really the only reason this is going to be so super hard is because I just do not want to drink coffee without heavy cream. I don't ever bother to sweeten so that hasn't been an issue. I have looked for all sorts of replacements fo...

Pets and Toddlers

I have to say I have set myself up for some absolutely ridiculous moments. I have a 15 year old Shih Tzu, an 8 month old Pit Bull, a 3 year old daughter and a 1 1/2 year old daughter. My house is nuts!!! My poor carpet . . . 😫 So trying to keep the pets in good health with shiny coats is inevitability sliding down my priority list. Not fair right. The girls absolutely love their furry friends! While giving the Shih Tzu a hair cut myself may have been a poor choice, starting the dogs on fish oil on their food every day was not!!! Best decision!! The fish oil is high quality and a great addition to their health! Its super easy to just pump someone their dog food. The bottle is small enough I can do it with one hand, which is super handy 🖐🤣 It fits easy in the door of fridge but is big enough to last a long time! So perfect! The bottle is quality,  doesn't leak and pumps very easy! Trust me one less mess in my house is like a miracle!! Now if I c...

Pilates Power

Image
I am the first one to tell everyone about how amazing Pilates is. I can't exactly describe it in a way where I feel like it truly gets the point across. It can be a tough workout or it can just be restorative or even a combination of the two! I have two small girls right now (3 and almost 2) so I don't get to teach full time like I used to because I stay at home with them. I do however get to teach a few hours every week. Let me tell you, that is the time that resets me right now. I love teaching, I love practicing, it is 100% my passion! I am pretty sure if I didn't get to teach a little bit each week I would absolutely lose my mind! While I don't "teach to music" I do like to have some sort of either calming or happy jam going on in the background! Let's be real though, I am not part of the generation that buys and carries around cd's! So I have hooked to my diaper bag a bluetooth speaker! I need something small so its easy for m...

Momming toddlers

So there are some days where I have already let the girls (3 and almost 2) watch a show or two, we do "craft time", I attempt to teach them to clean (please let that be worth it soon!!), we play either blocks or magnets, we play in the pretend kitchen and I am just toast! All I want to do it turn the tv back on and zone out! You know we have all done it! Well recent discovery that is so amazing . . . . I give them a bluetooth speaker, put on songs they will like (they are girls so Frozen soundtrack is always a big winner!) and the next thing I know its dinner time!! They dance and play and run for way longer than I would have thought!! Its super cute, great for them and great for me! Talk about a mood changer!! I could be just about to lose my mind and lock myself in a closet to cry and this will rescue me! So moms if you are inches from losing your mind . . . . Try this! I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinio...
